Running for Director of the NCIHC Board of Directors
After 5 years in social work, I entered the field of Language Services 23 years ago and have been with
Certified Languages International (CLI) for the past 16 years. As a former NCIHC board member for
three years, with my 4th year serving as Interim Vice President for the NCIHC from 2018 to 2019, I am
very familiar with the expectations and workload required for the position.
I understand our past as an organization, but am very excited to help us move into the future, with
new initiatives, team members and a growing number of individual members.
My focus, as a committee member on the Outreach & Membership Committee (OMC) for 2024 is to grow the number of organizational memberships within the NCIHC. With the assistance of my fellow committee members, we want to grow membership, not only with healthcare systems, language
service company’s and organizations in our field, but with organizations outside of language services.
I have also agreed to stay on the Event Planning Work Group. I will take responsibility for identifying the best venues and negotiating the lowest cost, for both the NCIHC, and for the attendees of our 2025 Language Access Congress.
